    • June 21

    City Championship Meet

    • Monday, June 26th at the UNO Lakefront Arena
    • The pool has reopened, however parts of the deck are still blocked off due to construction.  This may impact seating for City Meet, but should not impact the use of the pool itself.

    League Fees and Due Dates

The $100 team deposit is due to the Treasurer by May 1st.  To be included in the dual meet schedule, which will be published after May 1, the Treasurer must have received this fee.

The GNOCCSL assesses a $5 per swimmer surcharge on all team members.  This fee is due in a single check to the Treasurer no later than June 16th.  Clubs not remitting this fee will be ineligible to participate in City Meet.

Fees for the City Championship Meet will be due on the morning of the meet.

The address to send checks to is: 355 Newman Avenue Jefferson, LA 70121.

    Technology Policy Updates

In 2021, the Board of Directors implemented a transition plan requiring the use of swim meet management programs to run dual meets.  In 2022, the use of these programs was optional, but encouraged.  In 2023, the use of programs to run dual meets is required. In 2024, the use of Swimtopia's team management program and meet management program, Meet Maestro, will be required.  In 2023, teams are encouraged to use Swimtopia to get familiar with it prior to the required transition in 2024.  The Competition Guidelines are being updated to reflect these changes.  Highlights include:

    • Visiting teams will send the Host team entries 48 hours in advance of the meet
    • The Host team will merge the entries and generate Heat Sheets.  The Host team may elect to sell Heat Sheets or distribute them electronically to both teams.
    • The League's current scoring system will still be used.
    • Teams will still use the current lane designations, but programs should be set to fill empty lanes.
    • As always, if both coaches agree to modify the rules in advance of the meet, that is allowed.  Any disagreement results in the default League rule being applied.

    Board Elections

Because quorum was not met, we could not elect board members.  An additional League meeting will be called for elections in April.  All board positions are up for election - President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 3 Members At Large positions.
